At XyayX The Movement, our Workforce Development Program is rooted in a commitment to equity, community transformation, and lifelong learning. We serve young people, adults, and returning citizens from historically underserved communities by equipping them with real-world skills, job readiness training, and pathways to careers in high-demand fields.

How do we achieve this?

Through dynamic partnerships with schools and organizations, we offer an array of STEM-based classes, events, and programs.

Program Goals
Expand Career Pathways

  • Provide hands-on training in fields such as renewable energy, technology, construction, environmental science, and healthcare.

  • Offer industry-recognized certifications, internships, and pre-apprenticeship programs that align with regional labor market needs.

Develop 21st Century Skills

  • Build critical thinking, communication, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship through project-based learning.

  • Emphasize soft skills, financial literacy, and leadership to support long-term career success and community empowerment.

Support Reentry and Second-Chance Learners

  • Provide training and employment support for formerly incarcerated individuals, including skill-building, mentorship, and wraparound services.

  • Partner with community-based organizations and reentry programs to ensure participants have access to housing, counseling, and legal support.

Foster STEM and Green Innovation

  • Equip participants with the tools and knowledge to enter clean energy, environmental justice, and technology sectors.

  • Launch community-based STEM initiatives that connect workforce training to real-world research, entrepreneurship, and sustainability projects.

Bridge Education and Industry

  • Collaborate with colleges, unions, and employers to create seamless pipelines from training to employment.

  • Facilitate job placements, career fairs, and employer-led workshops to promote upward mobility and workforce inclusion.
