The "Changing the Faces of STEM" Summer Immersive Program offers an engaging and enriching experience for youth aged 6 – 17. Designed to inspire and empower the next generation of Black and Brown innovators, the program combines hands-on STEM activities with cultural education and historical exploration.
Program Highlights

Engineering Exploration: Dive into structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering projects. Build egg drop structures, truss bridges, and basic circuits, and explore advanced tools and computer-aided design (CAD).

Biology & Science: Investigate the human body through microscopy, slide preparation, and interactive biology lessons.

Cultural Enrichment: Learn about the contributions of Black and Brown individuals in STEM fields and discuss the history of injustices faced by these communities.

3D Printing: Explore the world of 3D printing technology by designing and creating your own projects, from prototypes to innovative models.

Environmental Research: Engage in hands-on environmental science, learning about sustainability, water quality, and ecological preservation through real-world research projects.

Weekly Speaker Seminars: Hear from STEM professionals and thought leaders as they share their career journeys, industry insights, and the importance of diversity in STEM fields.
We are available online
This program is also available for students online via Zoom, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for participants. Through virtual sessions, students can engage in the same enriching activities and learning experiences offered in-person, connecting with instructors and peers from the comfort of their own homes. From engineering projects to research-oriented exploration, tutoring sessions, and discussions on the influence of Black and Brown individuals in STEM, the online platform provides a convenient avenue for students to participate in this transformative program. Whether in-person or online, our goal remains the same: to empower and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
Our program's Cost
We recognize the financial challenges many parents face, particularly when working to provide the best opportunities for their children. With this in mind, our program is priced at $125 per day or $600 per week for in-person sessions, and $75 per day or $350 per week for online participation. We believe this is an incredible opportunity for your child, and we don’t want financial concerns to prevent them from attending. Although summer payments are nonrefundable, special exceptions may be made for medical reasons or summer school attendance. Contact our program coordinator by Saturday, June 16th, 2023 if you need an exception.
