Our program
Changing the Faces of STEM summer camp offers an exhilarating opportunity for children aged 6-17 to enjoy a dynamic summer filled with learning and excitement. Throughout each week, participants will delve into a variety of engaging STEAM activities. From constructing remote control cars, bridges, and houses to delving into coding with Arduino, launching rockets, and designing vinyl tee shirts, there's something for everyone. Additionally, participants will have the chance to explore tactical training, exercise, and self-defense, making for a well-rounded and enriching experience.
pROGRAM highlights!
Our summer program offers an immersive experience in structural, mechanical, and electronic engineering projects, blending hands-on learning with research-oriented exploration. Participants are introduced to refined tooling and computer-aided drawing through interactive sessions. Additionally, they will embark on a minimum of two trips, engaging in math, English language arts (ELA), and science tutoring sessions. Delving deeper, the program explores the influence of Black and Brown individuals on STEM and examines the historical injustices faced by these communities. The culmination of this enriching journey is a trip to Washington, D.C. on August 17th, 2024, providing participants with a firsthand experience of the nation's capital and its significance in STEM history.

This program is also available for students online via Zoom, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for participants. Through virtual sessions, students can engage in the same enriching activities and learning experiences offered in-person, connecting with instructors and peers from the comfort of their own homes. From engineering projects to research-oriented exploration, tutoring sessions, and discussions on the influence of Black and Brown individuals in STEM, the online platform provides a convenient avenue for students to participate in this transformative program. Whether in-person or online, our goal remains the same: to empower and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
Our program's Cost
We understand the financial challenges our parents face everyday, especially when they are pursuing the best for their children. Considering this, our suggested price is $50 per day. Although summer payments are nonrefundable, special exceptions may be made for medical reasons or summer school attendance. Contact our program coordinator by Saturday, June 16th, 2023 if you need an exception.
