African Studies and Social Justice
Discover the power of innovation through hands-on robotics, coding, and engineering! Our Saturday program is built to inspire, challenge, and prepare students for a future in tech, science, and invention. Whether your child is just getting started or ready for advanced robotics and research, we’ve created a space where young engineers can shine.
What Participants Will Do
Whether new to robotics or already experienced, every student will build real projects and expand their skills at their own pace. We meet each learner where they are and provide support, challenges, and inspiration!
Core Focus Areas:
-
Arduino coding & electronics
-
Circuits, motors, sensors, and servo systems
-
Wireless control (IR, Bluetooth)
-
Mechatronics design and engineering
-
Problem-solving through project builds
-
Collaboration and independent invention
-
Real-world research integration
-
Science fair prep and presentation skills
Program Goals
By the end of the program, students will:
-
Understand how to design, build, and code robotic systems
-
Create fully functional projects using real components
-
Explore environmental and social applications of robotics
-
Gain confidence in presenting their work at public showcases
-
Join a powerful network of future engineers, scientists, and change-makers
